Hey Hey! I'm so excited to share my journey of creating magical movie nights for my family. It
all started with hosting small dinner and movie nights at home for my kids, where we'd watch
our favorite films and enjoy simple, themed snacks. Over time, I began to incorporate more
creative elements into our movie nights, elevating them to the next level. As I saw the joy these
experiences brought to my kids and the joy I felt myself, I decided to take the plunge and host
an actual dinner and movie party in our backyard for friends and family.
This experience has inspired me to bring the same magical ambiance to our intimate family
movie nights, but on a more budget-friendly scale. Today, I'm thrilled to share my experiences
with hosting movie nights featuring beloved films like "Twitches," "Halloweentown," "Harry
Potter," and "Zombies,"
Twitches

For our "Twitches" movie night, I decided to recreate the breakfast cereal that the character
Alex received for her birthday in the movie. The mix of Cheerios with candy corn was a hit with
my family, especially since I'm a big fan of candy corn! We watched the film in the morning,
making it a fun and unique way to kick off the day.
Halloweentown

I knew I had to pay tribute to the Great Pumpkin in "Halloweentown," so I created pumpkin themed
taco stuffed peppers for our movie night. Using orange bell peppers, I carved jack-o'-
lantern faces and filled them with taco meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. This delicious and
visually appealing dish was a big success, and I loved bringing a part of the movie to life
through our meal.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Hosting a "Harry Potter" movie night was an absolute blast! I had recently put up LED lights
around my television in the living room and was eager to use. They definitely created a cozy
and fun environment. My friend Tasha from Lil Bits n Bites helped me put together a Harry
Potter-themed charcuterie board, which was both beautiful and tasty. To top it all off, I made
both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of butterbeer for everyone to enjoy.
Zombies

For "Zombies" movie night, I whipped up a quick and simple snack that was a big hit with my
kids. I popped some popcorn and drizzled it with melted chocolate, using pink chocolate for
the regular kids and green chocolate for the zombies. This fun and delicious snack perfectly
matched the movie's theme and showed that sometimes, even the simplest treats can make
movie night magical.
Happy October 1st! This season is the perfect time to snuggle up with your loved ones for magical movie nights filled with laughter and lasting memories. Whether you choose films from my fall family movie bucket list or create your own lineup, enjoy the enchantment of this time of year and cherish the moments spent together. And don't forget to share pictures of your spooktacular movie experiences! Happy movie-watching and Happy October!
